HISTORY
OF CAVITE SCIENCE INTEGRATED SCHOOL
With a strong desire to offer quality education to the young Caviteños, the office of the provincial governor made a giant step to uplift the status of the educational system of the province.

The pilot science high school named Cavite Provincial Science High School was established in 1979 through the Provincial Board Resolution No. 160 s. 1979 by Cavite Provincial Board. On October 26, 1979, the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports (MECS) approved to open a school named Cavite Provincial Science High School. Permission was given in 1981 to operate anchoring the Special Science Curriculum.

With the intention of honoring the potential of the most promising elementary graduates in the locality and its nearby areas, admission qualifying examination was administered by the Division supervisor, Mrs. Yolanda Amiscosa. In July 1981, only two - section class adapting the science curriculum with emphasis on mathematics and science was offered.

In the first four years of struggling, the first four batches experienced rigid training just to cope with the system. Even though, the school environment had insufficient facilities, mentors during that time, squeezed their sweat to give the quality education as expected. Students were not only taught academically but molded to become a wholesome model of values. This made them called 'model scholars.'

Since then, the students have performed well as achievers of mathematics and science in the division and in the regional competitions. Aside from this, all as DOST scholars, passed the UPCAT examination, and became scholars of other prestigious colleges and universities.

Years came, the well-known standard of the school remained. In 1993, the school was included under the umbrella of Department of Science and Technology - Engineering and Science Education Program (DOST-ESEP) Network School under the DECS Order No. 9 s. 1993.

As the pilot science high school, the school was made as the Regional Science High School for the Region IV in 1994 under the DECS Order No. 69 s. 1993.

Being consistent in gathering awards and achievements, CNSHS was ordered to be the Regional School of the Future (SOF) in 1996 under the DECS Order No. 71 s. 1996.

Known for its academic excellence and values oriented mechanism for quality education, the school was granted as the Regional Science High School for Region IV-A CALABARZON under the DECS Order No. 25 s. 2001.

On 2020, Cavite National Science High School changed its name to Cavite Science Integrated School.
